REDWOOD SHORES, CA – June 1, 2012 – Today, Slimstown Studios revealed itself to the world. This mobile gaming startup has been founded by three video game industry veterans: Sabine Duvall (CEO), Peter Dassenko (Director of Product Development), and Amar Gavhane (Director of Marketing & PR). With over 30 years of industry experience, including stints at Sierra, 2K, Midway, and Hudson, they are assembling a team in order to develop and publish games internally, as well as fund and publish games by other developers.
“We formed this company to make incredibly fun games that push the envelope,” said Sabine Duvall. “We have a number of our own games that we’ve designed and will certainly make, but we also know that there are plenty of talented people out there who just need a little help getting their own game ideas made.”
Slimstown Studios has two games already in development. The first game will be a “runner” based on a classic movie franchise. The second is a simulation game featuring fully-modeled 3D characters. Many more games, across a wide variety of genres, are in the pipeline. Both games are expected to release later this year.
