Video Games Live: Level 3 Brings The Symphonic Sounds of Video Games Music To The Masses

Los Angeles, CA, USA - August 14 2013/… Video Games Live™, the first and most successful video game touring concert in the world, today announced its Kickstarter campaign to fund the production and release of their upcoming album - Video Games Live: Level 3 . Video Games Live: Level 3 will contain a track list of music from award-winning video games created by the original composers from celebrated franchises.

“Years ago I was told that no one would enjoy video game music, let alone a world touring symphony show set to songs from video games. Audiences from around the globe have made Video Games Live the number one attended video game concert series in the world and helped our first two albums crack the elusive Billboard Charts,” said Tommy Tallarico, CEO/Executive Producer/Host of Video Games Live. “This time around I wanted to create a video game soundtrack that was really special and doesn’t have all of the games and music that people have been recording now for years. But the music industry doesn’t believe there is market for an album like this, even after all of the ongoing success of Video Games Live. To create this album I’m asking for the support of game music fans from around the world, so we’re going to Kickstarter to see who is right, the music industry or video game fans.”

The philosophy behind Video Games Live is to showcase games in their warranted artistic spotlight while simultaneously introducing a whole new generation of gaming fans to the sights and sounds of the symphony. The Video Games Live concert series fuses the energy and excitement of a high-octane rock concert with the raw power and emotion of a symphony orchestra. Stunning synchronized visuals coupled with technology and interactivity add to the musical extravaganza that millions of people have enjoyed.

The Kickstarter campaign for Video Games Live: Level 3 the album will be studio recorded with a 72+ piece orchestra backed by a 60+ person choir and explosive rock band.  All recordings will be written, arranged and conducted by famous game composers from around the world. All proceeds will go the creation of the album and the fulfillment of the prize tiers for backers.

The Video Games Live: Level 3 album track list will feature rare musical arrangements and exclusive recordings from:

Chrono Trigger/Cross, Shadow of the Colossus, Skyrim, Journey, Monkey Island, DOTA 2, Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, World of Warcraft, Diablo, BioShock, Beyond Good & Evil, Metal Gear Solid, Street Fighter II, Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, Earthworm Jim, Portal, Tetris, Resident Evil and more!  Including a special track remix by legendary DJ, artist and performer BT!

The Video Games Live: Level 3 funding campaign has launched on Kickstarter, will run until 14 September 2013 and aims to raise a minimum of $250,000 USD. To support the campaign and pledge, go to:
