London, England, October 10 2008: VideoGamer.com is proud to announce the launch of its high-definition video player and content in conjunction with Fay Cry® 2. The service is the first of its kind to stream true 720p high-definition video among UK gaming websites.

For game publishers and advertising agencies, VideoGamer.com can now exclusively offer HD video pre-rolls capable of providing gamers with breathtaking visuals which are truly representative of the game, demonstrated by the Far Cry 2 campaign currently running on the service.

The launch campaign was coordinated between Pro-G Media, publisher of VideoGamer.com, and media planning agency Maxus.

“I’m really exited at the launch of our HD offerings as we approach our busiest Christmas ever”, said Adam McCann, Operations Director at Pro-G Media.“This is also a prime example of how VideoGamer.com is continually diversifying, providing new and unique opportunities to media buyers to market their products online.”

“Videogames, like their advertising, continue to improve with time and what Videogamer have done in terms of developing the video player format has really raised the bar– much as Far Cry 2 has done to the FPS genre”, said Matthew Waghorn, Senior Planner at Maxus.“we saw this as a fantastic opportunity to showcase one this years top games in an equally impressive HD environment”.
