Voyage Century Online ( http://vc.igg.com) is getting back to basics with their newly renewed focus on exploration. Earlier this year they released two new islands, North Island and Bimini Island, and these two mysterious isles were created specifically to get players to follow in the footsteps of the greatest explorers of all time.
North Island is a wintery series of islands in the Arctic Ocean. Covered in ice for the majority of the year, the extreme climate makes it a place of strange animals and fauna. Bimini Island on the other hand is a tropical paradise bursting with beauty and life. Lying 80km east of Florida, it has also been long rumored to be the final resting place of the lost city of Atlantis.
Going Boldly Where No One Has Gone Before
Exploring new lands can be fun, but more often than not it is also risky business. This is why Voyage Century Online has limited players wanting to explore these 2 isles to Level 120 and up. Set foot on the new islands to automatically trigger exploration mode.
Types of Exploration
I. Biological Exploration
There are a wide variety of monsters just waiting to be discovered on each of these two islands. Exploration points can be earned based on the type of monster discovered. But look out for the big ones, Polar Bears and Werewolves aren't the type to sit around patiently and be observed!
II. Industrial Exploration
After searching for new species, take a quick look around. There are trees, rocks and all manner of natural resources lurking just around the bend in every trail. Collect these items and materials from monster drops, and make sure to watch for special drops that will trigger new time-limited quests. Complete them in time allotted to win big rewards!
III. Cultural Exploration
Both North Island and Bimini Island have indigenous cultures that must be respected, but more importantly, observed. Collect cards from the quests Explorer’s Will and Honor of Repressing the Rebels, then complete the quests on the cards to earn Cultural Exploration Points and Profession Exp.
When total Exploration Points reaches a certain level, rewards will be available. Total points are determined by combining Biological Exploration points, Industrial Exploration points and Cultural Exploration points.
Pending rewards are displayed in green, those that are building up but haven't been earned yet are represented by “???” and those that have been claimed already will be greyed out.
