Witching Hour Studios unleashes multiplayer wargaming mayhem with “RAVENMARK: Mercenaries” for iOS

Singapore, 10 July 2013 – Build an army of formidable mercenaries and make your banner renowned in RAVENMARK: Mercenaries, the sequel to the critically acclaimed turn-based strategy wargame from Witching Hour Studios. Available on the iOS App Store from July 10th 2013 as a Universal app, RAVENMARK: Mercenaries is a free-to-play game featuring asynchronous head-to-head battles against friends or random challengers.

The game is available on the App Store at:  https://itunes.apple.com/app/ravenmark-mercenaries/id560444634?mt=8

“We designed RAVENMARK: Mercenaries to realize the full potential of its table-top gaming origins,” said Ian Gregory, co-founder of Witching Hour. “By scrutinizing every detail of the original RAVENMARK, we’ve created more emphasis on head-to-head battles while encouraging players to feel the growth of their mercenary army.”

On the battlefields of RAVENMARK: Mercenaries, players will command the services of diverse Brigades of coin-obsessed mercenaries, each with different sets of skills and combat prowess. Players may mix and match these Brigades to develop their own style of combat, all while exploring the world of Eclisse and its rich lore.

Anchoring the battles of RAVENMARK: Mercenaries are the turn-based strategy mechanics that won critics over in the original 2011 wargame, RAVENMARK: Scourge of Estellion. The game features the “we-go” phase system where friend and foe attack in the same phase. Victory will come to players who mull over their varied combat options such as Formations and Zone of Control to conquer the battlefield.

RAVENMARK: Mercenaries is now available on the App Store as a free download supported by in-game advertisements and In App Purchases, and it requires a network connection to play.
