Saarbrücken/Quierschied, Germany– March 30, 2011– xaitment GmbH / Inc., the leading artificial intelligence (AI) game tool provider for the video games and simulations industries, today announced its BrainPack 2011, a collection of xaitment’s most requested AI development tools, xaitMap, xaitMove² and xaitControl, now available to studios with smaller development budgets.
BrainPack 2011 is being offered to indie game developers for only€ 6,000, a fraction of the normal cost of game AI. BrainPack 2011 provides studios with a one year, single seat tool license, enabling them to use xaitment’s AI technology to make extraordinary titles with little financial commitment. Platforms supported include Windows, Xbox360, PS3, Wii, Linux and mobile platforms.
“Studios no longer need big budgets to implement their own NavMesh generator, pathfinder or scripting engine,” said Andreas Gerber, Group CEO of xaitment.“We are excited to offer studios in North America and Europe this low cost option, reducing the barrier to mass market entry and giving independent developers the same tools that larger studios enjoy."
The BrainPack 2011 license includes all technology upgrades and updates, access to a moderated support forum, and can be used for an unlimited amount of titles within the one year licensing period. The license can then be renewed or upgraded to a full license with individual terms including floating licenses, multiple seats, additional xaitment tools and products, and individualized support. xaitment’s premium packages for larger game development projects include its renowned first-class services, such as on-site support, feature requests and a dedicated support specialist to guarantee responses within a 24-hour period.
