Xibalba Studios ( http://www.xibalbastudios.com), an independent video game developer based in Monterrey, Mexico, publicly announced its new video game: Militant™, a 2D side-scrolling shooter set in a 3D world in which the player, as a lone rookie soldier ant, tries to defend its home colony from an all out invasion from the other bug-nations.
Militant™ packs rich stylized insect worlds in high definition, novel 2.5D shooter gameplay action, customizable weapon load-outs, a large variety of enemies and epic boss battles. Militant™ immerses players in an insect based world through fast-paced unforgiving action gameplay combining classic side-scrolling controls with modern 3d visuals, delivering a completely refreshing experience that players of all ages can enjoy. And is on display at GDC Play 2012 Play Kiosk 51.
