After watching "Simon Plays: Dwarfs!?" on the Yogscast channel on Youtube (click HERE to view it), the developers at Power of 2 couldn't resist his wondrous voice. So, they got in touch with the man, persuaded him to do some voice acting and the result is now in the game. The update, with Simon voicing the game's "Awesome Dwarf", who helps you through the tutorial and challenge modes of the game, has just been released and will update automatically through Steam, for free.
This is the next in the sequence of free content updates to Dwarfs!? since launch. For those of you who haven't tried it, the game has been sitting in the Top 10 on Steam's "Indie" category since launch, having spent the first week as Number 1. In its' first reviews Metacritic lists The Onion AV Club giving it a perfect 100 "Compulsively playable", with other reviews scoring it high as well:
RTS Guru: "seriously one of the best games we have ever played" (9/10)
G33kwatch: "simple and addictive" (8/10)
Brutal Gamer: "a great strategy game that very much embodies the classic‘easy to pick up, hard to master’ style of games" (4/5)
InGamer: "provides more than enough entertainment for its $10 price tag" (7.4/10)
For more about the game (as well as the playable demo), head for the Steam store page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/35480, where you can pick it up for $9.99.
