ATLANTA – March 27, 2013 – Zeevex, an InComm company, has announced it has created a gift card exchange platform. Users now have the opportunity to trade Zeevex PINs for games, music and software from InComm’s wide selection of online entertainment-affiliated partners, including new partner Valve (for use within its Steam entertainment platform), Sony Online Entertainment (SOE), Hulu Plus, ROBLOX and Webkinz.
Consumers can purchase a Zeevex card at more than 65,000 retail locations, including GameStop, CVS/pharmacy and others. Users can then trade that virtual currency for branded digital goods including games, software and music via Zeevex.com in a simple, one-click process.
“Zeevex’s website and interface is designed with the online consumer in mind, while the Zeevex card makes it easy for cash-oriented customers to purchase content from their favorite brands in the digital space,” said Dave Etling, vice president of business and product development, InComm. “By extending Zeevex’s reach as a gift exchange platform, brand partners also benefit, as their content can now be accessed by this cash-based consumer segment.”
“We’re excited to add Zeevex as a payment method for Steam. It is a very convenient option for Steam users, especially those who do not own credit cards,” said Nathaniel Blue, Valve. “Zeevex’s user base is made up primarily of online gamers, which made this partnership a no-brainer for us.”
“We have a fruitful, long-standing relationship with InComm and are enthusiastic at the opportunities that Zeevex can now provide for millions of SOE customers,” said Don Vercelli, senior vice president of sales, Sony Online Entertainment. “We cater to our loyal customer base according to their purchasing needs, and we’re confident that digital gift exchange can provide them with a streamlined and convenient process for accessing their favorite digital content.”
