Matthew Wiggins, Alan Harding and Tamsin Nunley, previously of Zynga UK/Wonderland Software today announced the launch of ‘JiggeryPokery Ltd’. JiggeryPokery is dedicated to creating multiplayer games for the iOS platform.
Matthew Wiggins, CEO, said: ‘We believe that there is a huge creative and business opportunity to make a range of products that squarely aim at people playing together, both competitively and cooperatively. We’re going to marry our knowledge of crafting quality gameplay, mobile development and social features with the mechanics of player-vs-player and player-with-player to create exceptional games designed specifically for the iOS platform. We’re huge fans of the iPad and iPhone so, having spent the last four years working on mobile games, we’re excited to build this business around the success of the App Store”.
JiggeryPokery will be producing games exclusively for Apple devices and supporting the cutting-edge features of the platform.
About the founders:
Matthew Wiggins (CEO), Alan Harding (CTO) and Tamsin Nunley (Art Director) have a combined 40+ years experience in the industry, all three having worked together previously, first at Lionhead Studios and latterly at Wonderland Software, where Matthew (CEO) and Alan (CTO) were part of the founding team and Tamsin was the lead animator.
Wonderland’s game ‘GodFinger’, published by ngmoco, was a #1 US hit on the App Store and one of the pioneering free-to-play titles. Wonderland was acquired by Zynga in April 2011, at which time Matthew headed up Zynga’s UK operations until leaving in November 2012.
JiggeryPokery is a developer and publisher of games for the iOS platform. Started in 2013 by Matthew Wiggins, Alan Harding and Tamsin Nunley, the founding team has previous success in startup formation, having founded Wonderland Software which was acquired by Zynga in 2011. JiggeryPokery specialises in free-to-play multiplayer games.
