Activision reaches ex-employee agreement

Former RedOctane employees banned from developing guitar or drum games.
US publisher Activision has come to an agreement with former employees John Tam and Corey Fong after the pair threatened to open up a new studio specialising in rhythm action games.
GameSpot reports that Tam and Fong has intended to form a new studio called Lodestone Entertainment to produce games that would rival Activision’s Guitar Hero series.
However, an injunction has been granted that prevents the firm from ‘taking steps to develop drum, guitar or synthesizer based games for the next year or any Xbox 360 controllers for Guitar Hero II until six months after the game’s release’.
