New My Coach and Petz titles to kick off big push into growing market
The publisher has already formed an internal development team dedicated to the casual games genre, and will be releasing a series of new ‘My Coach’ titles as well as expanding upon the existing Petz series. My Word Coach is set to hit DS and Wii in Autumn 2007, while My Life Coach is set for release this Christmas on DS.
Pauline Jacquey is heading up the operation as exectuive producer of casual games, and said of the new initiative: “Ubisoft’s vision for this business is unique. We are developing projects that make people feel that playing games is worth their while, allowing them to spend quality time with family and friends, learn a new skill, or improve their daily lives. By creating games with real-life benefits, we are creating games that appeal to everyone.”
