Ronaldinho to kick off FIFA 08 marketing drive

EA also confirms PS3 and Wii versions of new title

Global football superstar Ronaldinho will be at the centre of EA’s worldwide advertising campaign for FIFA 08.

The Barcelona player will appear on the front of the pack of the game across the globe. His image will stand alongside different domestic heroes for each European territory.

Ronaldinho’s image will be joined by that of Miroslav Klose in Germany, Sergio Ramos in Spain, Andreas Ivanschitz in Austria and Tranquillo Barnetta in Switzerland. French internationals Florent Malouda and Frank Ribery will be paired with Ronaldinho on packaging in France.

The athletes appearing on the cover in the US and UK versions of the title will be revealed next month.

In addition, EA has confirmed the formats that FIFA 08 will appear on: Xbox 360, PS2, PSP, DS, PC, mobile and, for the first time, PS3 and Wii.
