RETAIL BIZ: News round-up

This week in retail news, industry veteran Gian Luzio has left Play.com following seven years at the online firm.

The retail community has also responded to news that the Wii trade price is set to rise, with CHIPS’ Don McCabe predicting the street price will go up in due course.

Elsewhere, GAME and Play have reported a sales hike following the BAFTA Video Games Awards, and Capcom’s Resident Evil 5 rules the charts, taking 27 per cent of console games revenues for the week.
