Nokia opens Ovi content portal

Comes with operator billing in Australia, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Russia, Singapore, Spain and the UK

Nokia has opened the doors to its much-anticipated Ovi Store, which it hopes will steal some of the mobile app initiative back from Apple.

Customers can update their devices with the Ovi Store mobile app (Nokia says it is compatible with more than 50 million S60 and S40 handsets globally) by selecting the Ovi Store icon in the Download! folder on their device.
