In Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion, players can finally put to bed that age-old question – could Ben 10 beat The Powerpuff Girls in a fight?
After a strange force blends nine different worlds from the Cartoon Network universe together, stars of some of the TV station’s biggest shows find themselves stranded in the wrong worlds.
Players will have to form unlikely alliances with characters in the story mode’s 32 stages. There are 18 playable characters in both Battle modes on the 3DS SKU, whilst the XL console versions include a further eight.
Gamers can control characters like Samurai Jack and Johnny Bravo.“In the UK alone, Cartoon Network is broadcast into 9.4m homes every month, so the market potential for this game is huge,” says OG International marketing executive Emma Jenkins
.“Ben 10 alone is hugely popular. And so to have him alongside other popular characters like Samurai Jack, Captain Planet and Johnny Bravo in one place creates an exciting proposition for retail.”
The game is being advertised via a four-week TV campaign running across Cartoon Network and Boomerang. This will generate over 600 TV?spots. There will also be print and online activity, too.
