Cradle of Rome 2

Cradle of?of Rome 2 retains the hand-drawn graphics and brain bending puzzles of its predecessor and adds two addictive modes.

The sequel brings users eight power ups and 100 levels of puzzling action as they build up small settlements into cities. They can progress across five episodes and go from humble peasant to Emperor of the Roman Empire.

“Retailers should stock this as the series is a proven success,”?says Rising Star Games product manager Yen Hau. “The first was one of the best-selling casual games throughout Europe when the original was released and is still experiencing continued sales two years later. This successor builds upon everything that made the original so popular.”

In each stage, players once again have to match three or more tiles to clear the board of the materials needed to build up Rome. They can also master mini-games and unlock blueprints in order to create structures and progress.

When in Rome

If gamers manage to overcome the plethora of frozen, chained and skull tiles that are waiting to trip them up in every board in Adventure mode, 15 bonus challenges and two new modes can be unlocked.

The Blitz mode gives gamers the chance to complete selected levels and win trophies, while the Tourney mode sets players against the clock.

Cradle of Rome 2 will be supported by a targeted online campaign across the Google Display Network and games site Miniclip around release. This will target casual players, young parents and commuters – consumers that Cradle of Rome 2 will surely delight once again.

DS legend

Rising Star has already dabbled in the DS?puzzle game market. The popular Jewel Master series, which includes the first Cradle of Rome and Tree of Life (above) has sold over 200,000 units to date.
