Crush 3D

After appearing on the PSP in 2007, Crush has been given a three-dimensional makeover for 3DS.

Players step into the dimension shifting shoes of Danny, a guinea pig for Dr. Doc Doccerson’s latest invention the C.R.U.S.H, a machine that lets people explore their subconscious. After Danny enters the machine, he must collect a series of marbles in order to open doors that should lead him back to reality.

Players have the ability to manipulate their surroundings, changing the world from 2D to 3D and vice versa. They can use the shifting environments to crush high three dimensional towers down to ground level, close huge gaps and even destroy their enemies.

Another Dimension

A far less serious title than its predecessor, Crush 3D displays a very British sense of humour and is littered with references to other media and video games, even taking a few lighthearted digs at the original PSP game.

Alongside new locations and characters, the game features an improved hint system and rewards for dedicated puzzle fans. The game also supports the use of Play Coins as well as utilising StreetPass. These allow gamers the opportunity to hide gifts throughout levels for other users to hunt, with players that collect these goodies able to unlock extra game content.

Crush 3D aims to tap into the same audience as Wii puzzle platformer Super Paper Mario. Thanks to the power of the Nintendo 3DS, players will actually get to experience the full 3D effect as they shift between dimensions.
