You probably only know Mad Catz for its large range of gaming peripherals but the publisher has begun taking on the games themselves. Last year, Mad Catz took over publishing Rock Band 3 and will now publish air combat title, Damage Inc.
Rather than an air simulation, Damage Inc offers arcade-style gameplay and a fun co-operative and competitive multiplayer.
The game also offers a mix of historical scenarios including Pearl Harbor, Wake Island and the Marshall Islands.
Players partake in over 20 campaign missions offering more than 12 hours of gameplay with a large assortment of aircrafts to fly.
“Damage Inc. Pacific Squadron WWII is looking extremely strong from the previews,” said Mad Catz global PR and communications manager Alex Verrey, “and the collector’s edition is already fully sold in Europe thanks to stronger than expected pre-sales and a robust PR campaign.
“Gamescom provides an excellent opportunity to expose the public to the game for the first time and Mad Catz will be there in force in Hall 7, and also at the Mad Catz Unveiled event in Cologne on August 14th.”
The Pacific AV8R FlightStick will launch with the release with the game fot PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. It features 3 buttons, realistic trigger and a POV analog stick. It has a removable handle, integrated throttle and headset for the 360 version.
A special collector’s edition for Damage Inc. Pacific Squadron WWII will include a branded Saitek Pacific AV8R FlightStick, a custom decal kit and exclusive DLC Reaper Corsair Plane. The DLC plane has double the guns - and double the fun, obviously.
