Another entry in the popular simulation series, Euro Truck Simulator 2 arrives with a huge amount of content that will keep dedicated fans occupied for months.
Players can prove their skills by manoeuvring the huge trucks and taking on a variety of delivery contracts. Each contract will take drivers across a huge number of European cities.
“The first version of Euro Truck sold in excess of 300,000 copies in Europe,” said Contact Sales managing director Robert Stallibrass. “We anticipate that Euro Truck Simulator 2 will rapidly exceed this number. “Everyone in the trade has got behind Euro Truck 2, and with pre-orders and the anticipated sell through, we expect this to certainly be a Top Ten game, and may well achieve a Top Five position.”
The game offers eight highly detailed truck models that can be customised from bumper to exhaust.
SCS Software has also taken Euro Truck Simulator 2 to Steam Greenlight, in an attempt to encourage Valve to let them publish more of their simulation titles on the digital retailer.
“The developer of the Euro Truck series has done an outstanding job of creating awareness in the trucking community,” added Stallibrass. “Their blog and Facebook sites have been a hive of activity.
“To build on the consumer awareness we’ve successfully run a series of YouTube videos showing off the product and at a retail level we have supported it with posters and trailer disks as consumer giveaways.” “Publishers often talk about realism, but the realism of Euro Truck 2 is just simply unrivalled.”
