James Noir's Hollywood Crimes 3D

The name may suggest a game inspired by the film noir movies of the 1940s, but James Noir’s Hollywood Crimes 3D swaps those dark alleys for the bright studio lights of a 1961 TV game show.

Playing as a contestant on The Incredible Puzzle Masters, it soon becomes clear that former show participants are biting the dust under suspicious circumstances. As the murder investigation takes an increasingly personal tone, gamers will have to complete over 150 puzzles to the solve a mystery that is threatening the lives of everyone involved with the show.

Hands on the buzzer

Unfortunately it’ll take more than a good slap in the mouth or a slug from a .45 pistol to take down the criminal mastermind behind the studio slayings. Puzzle solving is the key to ending the quiz show killing spree.

While under the heat of the studio lights, players will have to tackle image, wordplay, number and drawing challenges, along with tests involving shapes, colours, physics and problem solving.

Using the 3DS’ camera, the title puts the player’s face in the game, and the criminal mastermind even provokes them by mentioning the gamer’s own personal details.

Thanks to an impressive art direction and 3D visuals, both the gloss of the studio floor and the locations explored immerse consumers in the game’s 1960s Tinseltown setting.

James Noir’s Hollywood Crimes 3D is a title that casual players will certainly want to investigate with its famous location, range of puzzles and engaging storyline.
