11 YEARS have passed since he first stepped foot into a house brimming with ghouls but Luigi is back braving ghosts in this sequel for the 3DS.
Armed with a trusty torch, a ghost grabbing vacuum and a nervous disposition, Luigi’s Mansion 2 sends the green ghostbuster to a series of spooky mansions.
Unfortunately for Luigi, these spirits aren’t content with whiling away the afterlife gossiping with Derek Acorah. They’re hostile blighters, and, as ever, are tricky things to capture.
Ghost hunters will need to shock the phantom with a strobe before hoovering them up, and different spirits will require different means of vaporising them.
Players can collect more than just ghosts with the vacuum cleaner- cum-spirit sucker. Hoovering up leaves can reveal hidden ghouls and secret areas whilst piles of money can also be collected with the device.
On top of this, the game allows players to team up with up to three other friends to take on the mansion’s transparent tenants. In this Scarescaper multiplayer mode, players can fight their way to boss battles waiting on the highest floor.
While his brother tends to hog the limelight, Luigi’s Mansion 2 is going to remind consumers that when it comes to the scary stuff, there’s only one Italian in the family worth calling.
