Nickelodeon's Penguins of Madagascar programme has netted millions of fans since it first aired in 2008, and THQ is continuing to satisfy that audience with its line of wacky video games.
Dr Blowhole Returns Again is the latest title in the series on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS. It boasts uDraw and Kinect compatibility, allowing gamers to use the devices to control the game in new ways.
Fans of the show can expect to see all their favourite characters including Skipper, Rico, Mort, Private and King Julien, as well as the evil dolphin Dr Blowhole himself. Each character has its own strengths and weaknesses – for example Rico is perfect for detonating explosives, while Private can fit into tight spaces.
The platform puzzle game lets players explore over 12 levels spread across three episodes, climaxing with a fight against Dr Blowhole in his lair. Users will have to avoid hazards and obstacles while rescuing their penguin friends in order to progress. Gameplay consists of mini-games from bowling to dancing and ninja fighting, with players even able to create their own vehicles before racing with them.
With its huge army of child followers and family-friendly gameplay, Penguins of Madagascar: Dr Blowhole Returns Again is certainly one worth stocking for the younger gamer.
