SO FAR, the Wii U GamePad has been transformed into a survival kit, a sniper scope, and that motion detector from Aliens. But new Nintendo title Sing Party has surely gifted it with it’s most deadly function yet – a device that encourages karaoke.
Sing Party gives players the chance to sing along to the lyrics of songs and get scored on their efforts, but unlike other sing-a-long games multiple players can join with the lead singer.
The game features some of the greatest artists of all time. And Justin Bieber.
There should be something for everyone with players able to hop between the likes of Selena Gomez and Fleetwood Mac, catering to fans of the classics, fans of new pop and those 12 people that like both Fleetwood Mac and Selena Gomez.
Other tunes range from those by the likes of The Beach Boys, Huey
Lewis and the News, and Gloria Gaynor. Artists behind the hits of today are also included, with consumers able to tackle songs by Katy Perry and Carly Rae Jepsen.
CALL WII MAYBE
Players can look forward to reading lyrics off of the GamePad in Party Mode, a feature that allows singers to face their own adoring crowds whilst belting out some Alanis Morissette.
Even spectators can join in with the Sing Party action, singing background vocals and dancing along with the moves depicted on the television screen.
In Sing Mode, players can sing by themselves or as a duet with harmonies whilst Team Mode will see players split into two groups to face off against each other in the musical equivalent of a pub fight.
The singing can continue post- launch thanks to further DLC songs to be added across early 2013.
