We Sing Robbie Williams

Few individual pop stars warrant an entire game based solely on their career. News of ‘Yankovic Hero’ might get a few Weird Al fans excited, but by and large it would be a bit of a niche title.

We Sing Robbie Williams, obviously, is different. The former-now-returning Take That singer is one of the world’s best-selling artists with a ridiculous 50 million album sales under his belt.

Now his screaming fanbase can bring a little bit of Robbie into their homes with the newest entry in Nordic’s Wii karaoke series. Like the previous releases, the game allows players to perform and/or butcher a variety of classic songs, this time all penned by Mr Williams.

There are 26 popular Robbie tracks on the discs, including ‘Let Me Entertain You’, ‘Angels’, ‘Old Before I Die’, ‘Strong’, ‘She’s The One’, ‘Let Love Be Your Energy’, ‘Feel’ – and even his latest single ‘Shame’, which reunites him with Take That’s Gary Barlow.

Each song is accompanied by the official music video, so fans can get an eyeful of Robbie as they sing. The disc also contains footage from Williams’ sell-out Knebworth tour, so players can watch how it’s meant to be done.

Given that Robbie is constantly grabbing headlines, Nordic Games is understandably excited, and surpremely confident that it has a surefire hit on its hands.

“Robbie Williams is everywhere at the moment thanks to the recent release of ‘Shame’ and his definitive greatest hits album entitled In And Out Of Consciousness,” says Nordic Games’ sales and marketing director Nik Blower.

“Throw in his autobiography You Know Me, a new Take That album and worldwide tour, and Robbie will continue to remain in the public eye this Christmas.”
