It’s a popular topic of office conversation: how to survive a zombie apocalypse?
It seems the answer is to hop into a car, add some weaponry and start mowing down the undead – that’s according to Zombie Driver.
This title combines bloody destruction with driving to deliver a truly unique gaming experience. It has already been a hit in the digital space and was even nominated for Racing Game of the Year in the Golden Joystick Awards 2010.
A shady government experiment has gone horribly wrong and turned the entire inhabitants of a city into the walking dead. It’s up to players to get behind the wheel and rid the city of its zombie infestation.
The Story mode gives consumers 17 missions to hack their way through, with a range of sub quests and bonus missions in the huge, desolate city that is free for gamer’s to roam around. The more zombies that are turned to mush, the more money a player will earn.
Hit n’ fun
A Blood Race mode features 30 events to race through in three game types. Aside from classic racing challenges, the Eliminator puts drivers against each other and Endurance sends consumers through objectives to prevent a bomb attached to the car blowing up.
In Slaughter mode, gamers can venture out and create enormous bloodbaths in six different survival arenas. Players can create a serious of combinations and tricks on a range of different zombie types.
Consumers can impress their friends and post high scores immediately on Facebook from the game and the boxed release of the game comes with an ‘I am a Zombie Driver’ window sticker sure to evoke double takes from other drivers. The FPS features the Zombies mode that debuted in World at War. Players can even take on the roles of JFK, Nixon, Robert McNamara and Fidel Castro as zombies assault the Pentagon.
Dead Rising 2: Off the Record
Arriving later this year, the game will feature a reinterpretation of the events from Dead Rising 2 and include technical updates, a new storyline and improved network performances.
The Resident Evil franchise continues to go from strength to strength. It will celebrate its 15th anniversary this year with RE: The Mercenaries 3D on 3DS and RE: Operation Raccoon City.
