Sidhe branches out into browser gaming

Today, Sidhe’s iPhone unit PikPok released its first browser-based game, a goal-kicking Java game for Adidas called ‘Own the game’.

Players must flick their mouse across a moving ball to hit moving sprite-based teammates amongst markers, in what turns out to be a very fun promotional game for Adidas‘ new adipower predator.

Mario Wynands, managing director of Sidhe and PikPok, told MCV: "Moving into the browser space is an important step for us as we extend our development and publishing capability across more platforms."

"We now have the technology and processes in place to reach an even wider audience than ever before, bringing our IP to potentially hundreds of millions of consumers."

New Zealand based Sidhe is diversifying its product range to include mobile and browser-based gaming, and now remains one of the largest developers in the Southern Hemisphere, in spite of the spate of closures throughout Australia.
