Record 2013 sales for SimplyGames

Online indie SimplyGames.com says its 2013 sales were up 120 per cent over 2012.

The firm tells MCV that it’s increased its market share by 55 per cent, while its customer database has risen 23 per cent.

The company points at Xbox One, PS4 and 3DS as being the big sales drivers. It says it has tripled its market share on Nintendo’s portable machine (based on GfK Chart-Track figures).

The levels of support we enjoyed for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One launches and a steady flow of high quality games across all platforms really allowed us to maximise all opportunities to grow our sales and we have some very exciting plans to keep this momentum going into 2014,” said purchasing manager Steve Moore
