Blizzard's longstanding MMO World of Warcraft sees player tally drop to 7.7m

The number of monthly subscribers still enjoying Blizzard’s MMO phenomenon World of Warcraft has dropped to 7.7m.
It was last reported at 8 million back in April, having dropped by 1.3m since February. The game’s population has been gradually dropping since it peaked at 12m subscribers in October 2010.
This is the first time the time the subscription base has been lower than 8m since 2007, before the launch of first expansion The Burning Crusade, according to Eurogamer.
