YouTube has rolled out its 60 frames per second video support to its iOS and Android apps.
The video giant debuted 60fps video last summer with a short of Battlefield: Hardline. It was then rolled out across its website in October.
This new change for smartphone and tablet apps is a server change, so users don’t need to update their apps. The new feature is already available on a number of other devices, including PS4, PS3 and Apple TV.
VentureBeat reports that the 60fps smartphone and tablet support is limited to pre-recorded videos and is not yet supported by livestreams – a function that is currently available on the desktop site.
