3D technology company Allegorithmic has sashed $900 off the licensing cost of its Substance package as part of a new GDC promotion.
A custom package of tools – featuring Substance Designer 2.5, Bitmap2Material 1.5 and about 250 Substance source files – can be purchased for $690 instead of $1600.
The offer ends March 20th.
Substance is designed specifically for the development and distribution of online and downloadable games.
The middleware allows developers to shrink the size of textures in order to make them more bandwidth-friendly.
