Vision Summit will be held in Hollywood in February 2016

Unity launching VR and AR conference next year

Unity Technologies, creator of one of the most widely-used games engines on the market, has announced a new event that will focus on emerging technologies.

The Vision Virtual and Augmented Reality Summit will be dedicated on the development of VR and AR projects, not just in games but across multiple industries.

The conference will be held at Hollywood’s Loews Hotel from February 10th to 11th, 2016.

Companies already on board to support the new event include Oculus, Sony Computer Entertainment, Valve and Qualcomm, who will all be on hand to demonstrate their own technologies.

A call for speakers has opened, with developers interested in talking at Vision Summit able to submit proposals via Unity’s website.

“VR and AR promise to change the way we interact with technology and entertainment,” said Unity CEO John Riccitiello. “Vision Summit will bring the best minds together to discuss how the great potential in these technologies can be realised.”
