John Carmack to discuss the dawn of mobile VR at GDC

Oculus CTO John Carmack will discuss the dawn of mobile virtual reality during GDC next month.

The talk will focus on the technical details of making mobile VR a reality as well as techniques and strategies for maximising game quality. Carmack will also share his thoughts on the future of VR, including what it means for the mobile ecosystem.

Carmack joined Oculus in August 2013 and is one of the masterminds behind the firm’s push into mobile and the technology behind the recently launched Samsung Gear VR headset.

His session on the dawn of mobile VR will take place at 11am on Wednesday, March 4th in Room 135 in the North Hall.
