No Ubisoft conference at Gamescom

Ubisoft has confirmed to MCV it will not be holding its usual press conference at Gamescom.

The French publisher is one of many that often holds an E3-style press conference at the Cologne-based show, but has this year decided to focus on its plans as an exhibitor.

Ubisoft will have a wide range of titles available to play on the show floor, no doubt including August releases Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Rayman Legends.

It’s also safe to assume the publisher will be giving attendees the chance to go hands-on with its cross-generation titles, including Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Capcom, another publisher that usually holds a Gamescom press conference, recently confirmed it would not be attending this year’s show.

Gamescom 2013 will be held at Koelnmesse, Cologne from Wednesday, August 21st to Sunday, August 25th.
