Valve aims to bring currency options for 12 additional territories over the next year, including countries in Europe, North America, and Asia.

The company announced the news this week during its Steam Dev Days conference in Seattle, Washington.

The digital distributor plans to offer support in Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Turkey, Ukraine, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and The Philippines.

Valve hopes to begin offering native currency options to all of these territories at some point in 2014.

The company also recently announced updates to its Steam Controller, and the beta launch of Steam on VR platforms.
