Activision names Hepworth as UK MD

Activision UK will have a new MD from August as current boss Andrew Brown concentrates on Euro duties.

Peter Hepworth will take over as UK MD for Activision in two months. He’s been with Activision since 2006, first as European CFO before moving up to become global sales and supply chain finance head in the US.

The move allows Brown to focus more on the roles he has added since also joining the firm in 2006.

Specifically, that’s sales excellence and European strategy – now his main focus – plus territory head for Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

It has been an amazing five and a half years,” Brown told MCV.

When I joined the whole of Europe added together was the size of what the UK is now – that’s how much we’ve grown. When we did Call of Duty 3 we were delighted to ship 200,000 units in the UK. With Black Ops we did three million in six weeks. There has been so much change, in the industry and in our own organisation.
