The new company founded by Criterion founders Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry is develping a spiritual successor to its former studio’s flagship franchise.
Tweets from Three Fields Entertainment reveal what the firm is working on, with its first release due early next year, followed by a driving game.
The studio has previously teased that its debut title will be a “new twist on a sports game”, surprising fans of Ward and Sperry’s previous work, who no doubt expected a new Burnout-style game. Now that game has been teased.
Two things. Our first game is a multiplayer sports game. Coming Spring 2016. Then we make a driving game. RT and #ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster

Videogamer observes that the hashtag ‘ShinyRedSomething’ is a nod to the original Burnout’s codename: ‘Shiny Red Car’.
Ward and Sperry left Criterion back in 2014 to set up Three Fields Entertainment. Develop has contacted the duo to find out more about the new games, and what the studio has been up to.
