Physics middleware manufacturer Havok has been awarded a National Academy of Television, Arts & Sciences Award at a ceremony in Las Vegas.
The company, which is now owned by Intel, was honoured with the award for its work in the games and film industries, where it has been applied to movies such as Kingdom of Heaven, Troy and The Matrix.
"This award shows just how far Havok has traveled since its inception as an incubation project at Trinity College in 1998. I am proud to accept this award on behalf of the entire team at Havok whose ongoing creativity and dedication has made our physics the global market leader in such a short space of time," said David O’Meara, MD of Havok.
