Stand-out devs at the start of their career have under a week to put themselves forward for this year’s BAFTA Breakthrough Brits.
The initiative, launched in 2013, aims to highlight upcoming talent in games, film and TV, and has previously fostered the talent of BAFTA winners Daniel Gray, who won for Ustwo’s Monument Valley, and Rex Crowle, who won for Media Molecule’s Tearaway.
The 20 individuals selected across the three mediums will receive 12 months of career development support specifically catered to their skills, including one-on-one mentoring, a year’s access to BAFTA events, networking opportunities and guidance sessions.
BAFTA mentors in the past have included Tomb Raider writer Rhianna Pratchett and legendary Psychonauts designer and Double Fine co-founder Tim Schafer.
Applications for BAFTA’s Breakthrough Brits close on Monday, May 30th.
