The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences has opened a call for applications for its inaugural WomenIn scholarship.
The programme, announced in January, aims to provide “female students and early career gaming professionals” seeking full-time employment in the industry with education and mentorship, according to GamaSutra.
Applications are open all women who wish to become games developers, or professionals elsewhere in the industry. Those that are successful will include up to $2,500, as well as mentoring and other support.
The deadline for applications is October 31st and you can find more info at the AIAS website.
The AIAS has also announced the winners of its annual scholarship programme, with Coumbia University’s Marchelle Lundquist, NYU’s Yuanqing Wu, University of California’s Khalia Hall and USC’s Christopher Kao each receiving $2,500.
They also benefit from a year-long mentorship program and free passes to AIAS’ DICE summit in February.
