Ubisoft has posted strong financial results for its 2014 holiday season run.
The firm reported sales of $923.5m – a 55.8 per cent increase stacked against its third quarter results during the previous year.
The publisher also revealed Far Cry 4 has shipped 7m units since it launched, with Assassin’s Creed Unity and Rogue combining to ship 10m. Sales of each title were not specified individually. Racing game The Crew also mustered 2m shipped, while Just Dance 4 has shipped 4m and Watch Dogs has reached 10m since its release last May.
Digital sales also made a major impact on Ubisoft’s positive results, showing a year-over-year increase of 157 per cent to $157.4m.
"We are now capitalizing on the investments we have made over the past several years to further develop our creative strengths, boost our marketing impact and extend our digital footprint," Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated.
"Our performance is all the more impressive given that it is wholly the result of Ubisoft’s teams. Each of these successful games was developed by our in-house studios and we own our brands, which means that our destiny is in our own hands and we are internalizing the value created for our shareholders."
