Astralis signs sponsorship deal with car manufacturer Audi

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive organisation Astralis has just announced a new sponsorship deal with German car manufacturer Audi.

The deal is supposedly work just under $750,000 according to Dot eSports, and will see the Audi logo appear on player clothing and other branding. Exact specifics of what the deal includes outside of that is unknown.

Astralis will debut the new sponsorship at the ELEAGUE Major that starts this weekend. After a tough 2016 the team goes into the event as one of the favourites thanks to an amazing run in December that saw them take second at ELEAGUE and first at ECS.

"It’s fantastic news for eSports and a validation of our world, that a non-endemic brand like Audi chooses to work with Astralis and Counter-Strike," said Astralis founder Frederik Byskov when talking to Dot eSports. "I’ve been in eSports for more than 10 years, and we only created Astralis a year ago. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate the anniversary today. I’m very thankful for the work RFRSH Entertainment has put into this, making it a possibility for Astralis to enter a partnership with Audi.”
