Bethesda ‘has concerns’ about the quality of free-to-play shooter Battlecry

It seems that things aren’t going completely as planned for Bethesda’s upcoming free-to-play third-person shooter Battlecry.

After a big reveal in May of last year, the multiplayer-focused title has remained primarily out of the spotlight.

There were plans for a closed beta (which eventually failed to take place) and a few appearances on show floors but, otherwise, little more has been said about the ambitious take on arena shooting.

Now, Bethesda has issued a statement to Progress Bar that may explain the title’s spotty presence.

We have concerns about the Battlecry game and whether it is meeting the objectives we have for it,” the statement read.

We are evaluating what improvements the game needs to meet our quality standards.

"The studio remains busy during this process on multiple projects.”
