New recruits include artists, programmers and UI ninja

Bleszinski’s Boss Key snaps up ex-Epic, Irrational and Neversoft devs

Cliff Bleszinski’s new studio Boss Key has hired a host of new recruits as the studio ramps up production on its debut title BlueStreak.

The Raleigh-based developer has brought in former Epic producer Chris Mielke as senior producer, Red Storm staffer Joshua Parker as senior gameplay programmer and ex-Epic artist Chris Wells as senior character artist.

Other hires include Shane Smith as IT director, David Rose as UI ninja, Ryan Palser as senior animator, James Hawkins as senior concept artist and Sarah Asby as executive assistant.

“The key to building a successful company is to surround yourself with quality people, especially the ones who can do things you can’t,” said Boss Key CEO Cliff Bleszinski.

“Arjan [Brussee] and I are excited to continue working with some of the people who have inspired us and helped us create great work in the past, as well as to hire fresh blood to bring new perspectives and talents to the table. We’re still reading through hundreds of resumes to find the best-of-the-best to join us, and expect to have more announcements soon.”

Boss Key’s first game, to be published by Nexon America, is a sci-fi arena shooter currently under the name of BlueStreak.
