Batman stumbles on PC once again

The Dark Knight has suffered another rocky PC launch.

After last year’s turbulent release, removal and re-release of Warner’s Batman: Arkham Knight on PC, Telltale’s new episodic Batman game has also struggled out of the blocks, with users complaining of slugging framerates and graphical glitches.

The studio has already released a patch for the game and claimed that the problems were related to integrated graphics chips. The title now defaults to dedicated graphics, and a number of graphical tweaks have been introduced.

We are aware that some users have experienced performance issues with Batman: The Telltale Series on Steam when playing on PC,” it said.

Investigations indicate that many of these issues appear to have been due to running the game on integrated graphics cards rather than dedicated, or were the result of out of date drivers. Special thanks to those in the community who have already helped others resolve these issues before a patch could go live.”

Some users, however, continue to complain of problems, with many getting quite irate after experiencing similar troubles with past Telltale PC releases.
