Centresoft bags Warner deal

Warner Bros has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Centresoft.

The Birmingham wholesaler now boasts exclusive accounts with some of the biggest names in the business – and Warner’s giant financial backing will surely make it one Centresoft’s shiniest stars.

The Warner account joins that of Electronic Arts, Sony, Sega and THQ in Centresoft’s portfolio. The firm also handles releases from Activision – which owns the distributor.

Centresoft will handle Warner’s debut European releases – Looney Tunes ACME Arsenal on PS2, Wii and 360 and Looney Tunes Duck Amuck on DS – when they hit retail later this month.

Centresoft commercial director Margaret Pearson offered: We are delighted to be working with Warner Bros at this crucial time of launching themselves as an independent publisher. Warner, along with Looney Tunes, are worldwide brands and it is extremely exciting.

There is no doubt with the profile of brands that Warner has in its stable, combined with their huge experience in the entertainment market, they will become a major force in the video games arena.”

The Looney Tunes characters and franchise has over 57 years of brand equity and five Academy Awards to its name which is a huge testament to the popularity of this brand,” added Warner EMEA marketing manager Maria Deevoy.
