Clair Porteous named head of Entertainment at Future

Future Publishing has named Clair Porteous as head of its Entertainment group.

She replaces Simon Maxwell, who left to join Eurogamer in August.

Porteous has been holding down the role on a interim basis since his departure. She will now take control of Future’s entire games and film portfolio.

Prior to her new role, she works as head of digital development for the Entertainment Group, and has also worked as the publisher of Future’s Film brands. In her new role she will report to Future’s Group publishing director for technology and entertainment, Nial Ferguson.

The growth of the Entertainment Group is crucial as we continue our development as a borderless, digital business," said Ferguson.

"Clair’s drive and desire to accelerate the growth plans made her the perfect candidate to lead the strong Entertainment management team through the next phase of the portfolio’s evolution."
