Disney Universe heading to consoles

A brand new family-friendly action title is on the way from Disney Interactive.

Called Disney Universe, the game is currently in development for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Mac and is due out this autumn.

It will bring together characters and universes from a number of Disney and Pixar brands and, for the first time, allow them to interact in a single setting.

Expect to see the likes of Alice in Wonderland, Tron, Monsters, Lilo & Stitch amongst the 40 classic and contemporary IPs on offer. Players will be able to dress their avatars up in an assortment of costumes designed to represent each of these iconic franchises.

The first images of the title can be seen below.

Disney Universe is a vast treasure chest of Disney properties with memorable characters, places and experiences that gamers, as well as Disney fans will enjoy,” Disney Interactive senior vice president of publishing Adam Sussman said.

The fast-paced, frenetic gameplay combined with wacky humour and hilarious situations make Disney Universe the perfect game to play with family and friends.”
