EA confirmed as Portal 2 publisher

EA will assume publishing duties for Portal 2, much as it did with Valve’s celebrated collection The Orange Box in late 2007.

Furthermore, the game has been given a concrete release date of April 21st on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Previously a release "in the week of April 18th" is all that had been offered.

"Portal 2 is Valve’s most innovative title in the company’s history and will be launched with a first-class launch campaign this April," Valve’s vice president of marketing Doug Lombardi stated.

"We’re excited to be working with EA to deliver this title as we expand our platform strategy to include the Mac and PlayStation 3 platforms."
