Former games journalist Ashley Day has switched career paths to take a new PR role at Nintendo.
Day joined the platform holder yesterday as junior PR manager, where he reports to Nintendo UK’s head of communications Jo Bartlett. He will work alongside fellow junior PR manager Emily Woolliscroft.
He has spent the past six years working on Imagine Publishing’s GamesTM, the last three of which were as deputy editor.
We are thrilled to have Ashley join the PR team,” said Bartlett.
His time as a journalist and the gaming expertise he brings to the team will be a great asset and we are delighted that he’s chosen to start his PR career at Nintendo.”
Day’s hire comes a little over two weeks before the launch of Nintendo’s next generation console Wii U on November 30th.
